One Hundred Victories: Special Ops and the Future of American Warfare
Author Linda Robinson

Washington, DC—On October 10, 2013, Linda Robinson, a senior international policy analyst at RAND, spoke to WFPG at an Authors Series event about her new book, One Hundred Victories: Special Ops and the Future of American Warfare. In her presentation, Robinson discussed the evolution of the U.S. Special Forces and how they have shifted focus from primarily combat operations to include local defense programs. She explained that the Special Forces have led efforts to establish local security initiatives within Afghanistan and stressed the importance of such efforts in ensuring that the remote communities of Afghanistan eventually learn how to protect themselves without relying on the US military. This event was hosted by Croatian Ambassador Joško Paro and was moderated by WFPG President Patricia Ellis.
