New York, NY—On September 13, 2016, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Assistant Administrator, Crisis Response Unit, Izumi Nakamitsu briefed the WFPG at the Institute of International Education on the significance of the Summit for Refugees and Migrants and its implications for the future. Nakamitsu stressed the importance of cross-collaboration between development and humanitarian agencies in order to adequately respond to large movements of refugees and migrants.
