Washington, DC—On March 15, 2018, Ambassador Aizaz Chaudhry hosted the WFPG for a conversation Pakistan's Relations with the US and Regional Developments in South Asia. The conversation was held at the Embassy of Pakistan and moderated by WFPG Board Co-Chair, Ambassador Catherine Russell. Ambassador Chaudhry opened his remarks with an overview of the changing global landscape and how these broader trends apply to Pakistan. He recalled the longstanding history of relations between the US and Pakistan and stressed the importance of continued cooperation for both countries. During the Q&A session, the Ambassador responded to questions on a wide range of issues including Pakistan’s relations with US and US foreign assistance, the war in Afghanistan, the situation in Kashmir and diplomatic relations with India, balancing relations with Iran and Saudi Arabia, Pakistan's domestic economy, the impact of social media on diplomacy, and girls education. Watch Video
