What people are saying . . .

I would like to congratulate WFPG for the good work it is doing. Now in this town, you have a choice. You have quite an assortment of think tanks and lots of groups. And from my point of view, I think the Women's Foreign Policy Group is number one ...

One of the main reasons for my selecting this group is not the fact that they are gender-sensitive. That is part of it, but not the whole thing. It is the fact that they deal with current issues very efficiently and there are always speakers of the highest rank.

- Ambassador Glenda Morean Phillip
Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago
to the US and Mexico

WFPG clearly plays an important role in cultivating the foreign policy leaders of tomorrow. Given my long career in domestic and foreign policy in my own country, I know first-hand how crucial organizations such as yours are for the advancement of gender equality.

- Helen Clark
UNDP Administrator and
Former Prime Minister of New Zealand

Ambassador [Susan] Rice and I both appreciate the role of this group. The intellectual rigor and energy that its members bring to foreign policy issues are essential to helping to make the UN a more effective and responsive forum.

- Ambassador Rosemary DiCarlo
US Alternate Representative for
Special Political Affairs to the UN

. . . I am very, very grateful to the Women’s Foreign Policy Group to provide a wonderful, wonderful network for all of us, and I hope that all of us can encourage many more women to join.

- Ambassador Claudia Fritsche
Embassy of Liechtenstein to the US

It [WFPG] was an organization with which I entered into contact fairly early on in my tenure as Ambassador here, and I immediately understood the importance that it plays in engaging many in Washington with some of the most critical foreign policy issues . . .

- Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan
Embassy of Mexico to the US
