On February 28, 2019, the WFPG was hosted by Ambassador Karin Olofsdotter of Sweden for a discussion on global security and trade at her home. The conversation was moderated by Courtney McBride of The Wall Street Journal. Ambassador Olofsdotter outlined the new Swedish government’s foreign policy priorities, the importance of multilateral cooperation, and key challenges for security and trade, including relations with Russia, cooperation with NATO, Brexit, and relations with North Korea. Ambassador also highlighted Sweden’s trademark feminist foreign policy which stresses the three “R”s: rights, representation, and resources for women.
