New York, NY—On Ocotober 1, 2012, Dr. Esther Brimmer, Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations, addressed WFPG on "US Priorities at the UN General Assembly" at a Beyond the Headlines event moderated by WFPG President Patricia Ellis. Prior to her appointment, Secretary Brimmer worked at various posts within the State Department, including the Office of Policy Planning, the US delegation to the UN Commission on Human Rights, and as Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. The program was cosponsored by the Institute of International Education.
