Washington, DC—On November 16, 2015, Barrie Freeman, political affairs director for the UN's Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), spoke to the WFPG about peacekeeping and women in the Central African Republic. In her remarks, Freeman discussed the "forgotten conflict" that has left 2.3 million people, nearly half the population, in need of humanitarian assistance. The event was co-sponsored by the National Democratic Institute and moderated by Sandra Pepera, director for Gender, Women and Democracy at NDI.
