TEDx PlaceDesNations Live from the UN in Geneva

Washington, DC—On February 11, 2016, the WFPG co-hosted a panel discussion and viewing of the TEDx PlaceDesNations conference in Geneva entitled “Transforming Lives.” The event included discussions on health care, technology, energy, and human rights. In DC, the UN Foundation’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth Cousens moderated a discussion with Sarah Craven, Chief of the Office of the UN Population Fund, and Sam Worthington, InterAction’s Chief Executive Officer. The speakers covered how to respond to crises and address the neediest populations, especially women and children. The event was co-hosted by the Embassy of Switzerland, InterAction, UNA-NCA, the United Nations Foundation, the United Nations Information Centre, and the Women's Foreign Policy Group.
