Washington, DC—On September 20, 2016, Ambassador David MacNaughton of Canada spoke to WFPG members and guests at an Embassy Series event on Canada’s agenda to renew their place in the world. The election of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2015 has represented a shift in Canadian policies, especially foreign policy. The Ambassador discussed how Canada has improved their relationship with the US, shown leadership during the Syrian refugee crisis and begun to restore Canada’s involvement in multilateral organizations.
