Please join the Women’s Foreign Policy Group on Wednesday, February 26th, at 9:30 AM ET, for a virtual discussion on the South Korean martial law crisis, as we analyze the context behind President Yoon Suk Yeol's actions in December 2024 and the implications going forward on democracy and geopolitics in the broader region. Our panel of experts will feature Jung H. Pak, U.S. Special Representative for North Korea (2023-2024) & Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, U.S. Department of State (2021-2024); and Katharine H.S. Moon, Professor Emerita of Political Science & Wasserman Chair of Asian Studies, Wellesley College. The discussion will be moderated by Michelle Ye He Lee, Tokyo/Seoul Bureau Chief, The Washington Post.
