Program Associate The Women’s Foreign Policy Group is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team. The Program Associate assists the Executive Director in all aspects of the WFPG’s operations including program planning, outreach and administration. The position requires a self-starter, preferably with a background in international affairs, who is well-organized and possesses excellent oral and written communication and has run large scale events. Candidates must be detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable in a small active organization which requires multi-tasking, independence, and teamwork. This is a mid-level position with extensive responsibility. This position provides an opportunity to engage with professional board of directors, American and international influencers and expand knowledge of foreign policy issues. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage multiple tasks, work both independently and collaboratively, and communicate clearly and effectively with diverse partners and stakeholders. Since its founding over 25 years ago, the Women’s Foreign Policy Group has been committed to promoting women’s leadership and voices in international affairs through our in-depth global issues programming and mentoring activities. A key player in broadening the constituency for international affairs, WFPG brings together participants from across disciplines and links women domestically and internationally. We believe that through highlighting women leaders in foreign policy, we provide important role models for the next generation and create a vital network of women from different sectors, generations, and backgrounds. This position is based in Washington, DC. Work is generally performed in an office setting, but staff may be required to work in other settings conducive to performing the tasks required to complete assignments. Travel to New York and around the DC metro area, as well as occasional extended hours will be required on occasion. Selected candidates must be legally allowed to work in the U.S. without any need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Salary: $45,000-$47,000, commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes paid annual and sick leave, 11 federal holidays, health benefit, retirement plan and disability insurance.
