New York, NY—On March 28, 2019, the Women’s Foreign Policy Group held its annual Celebration of Women Diplomats at the home of WFPG member Geraldine Kunstadter. The program honored the achievements of women permanent representatives to the United Nations, deputy permanent representatives to the United Nations, and consuls general. Honorees included Ambassadors to the United Nations: H.E. Mirgul Moldoisaeva of Kyrgyzstan, H.E. Amatlain Elizabeth Kabua of the Marshall Islands, H.E. Milica Pejanović Đurišić of Montenegro, H.E. Maleeha Lodhi of Pakistan, H.E. Pennelope Beckles of Trinidad and Tobago, Chargé d'Affaires Sanja Zografska Krsteska of North Macedonia, and US Ambassador for UN Management and Reform Cherith Norman-Chalet. WFPG also recognized the Deputy Permanent Representatives of Bulgaria, Georgia, and Serbia, and the Consuls General of Bulgaria, Ecuador, Estonia, Guyana, Luxembourg, and Peru. Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, made brief opening remarks on behalf of the honorees.
